Contract clinical SAS consultant

The incumbent will use SAS v8 in a Windows XP environment to support clinical trials. He/She will perform programming and validation to generate analysis datasets and tables for formal clinical reports. A high level of proficiency with SAS's data step, macros and various procedures is necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communications. Familiarity with the clinical trial process is helpful. Relevant programming experience in SAS required! A BS in a related discipline (ie statistics, various formats (excel, CSV, ASCII) into SAS datasets is important. Experience cleaning and resolving data issues as well as merging data from different sources into a single integrated dataset is helpful. The incumbent may contribute to documentation. He/she should be prepared to present samples of past work that exhibits consistent, well-structured, mature and high quality SAS programming. He/She is expected to be competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. He/She is expected to work independently, but to function as part of a programming team and will routinely take direction from a project programmer, manager or biostatistician. Looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience. Direct Pharma experience is a plus!!

Contract SAS consultant

The job will entail receiving, processing, loading into Oracle and QC of data in Oracle from 2 sources at regular intervals. Each time a fresh batch of data comes in the following tasks need to be accomplished:

The data will be initially processed (as per defined business rules) and loaded as SAS data sets on a Unix box. The SAS processed data will processed/loaded into Oracle using Informatica as the ETL (Extract Transform and Load) tool. Finally the data in Oracle has to be QCd and validated. Supporting queries and help database access in general will also be a part of the ongoing queries. This might involve developing macros to help users access data. In the medium term we might also opt to access the data using ROLAP and OLAP tools from vendors such as Cognos.

The work requires expertise in SAS programming, Unix, Oracle and hands on experience with using Informatica (to load data to Oracle). Data Warehousing, Data Modeling in context, and experience with big volume data processing and medical coding schemas such as ICD9, Read Codes, NDC codes etc. is desirable. They will specifically want high-level individuals with knowledge / experience in SAS, UNIX, and Informatica. It would also be desirable for the individuals to have knowledge of data warehousing.

Contract lead biostatistician

This position requires 3+ years of pharmaceutical experience as a biostatistician. Working on-site for a mid-sized pharmaceutical company in PA. The candidate should have good SAS skills. This is a long-term renewable contract position.
